Poderi Cellario
Piedmont, Italy
“We are Fausto and Cinzia Cellario, third generation of winemakers in the village of Carrù, on the western outskirts of the Langhe hills. We believe in working only with local, indigenous Piedmontese grape varieties and we fiercely defend the local winemaking traditions both in the vineyards and in the cellar.”
Poderi Cellario, situated in the Langhe region of Piedmont, Italy, is renowned for its 1-litre bottles and sought-after natural wines. Guided by Fausto and Cinzia Cellario, the third generation of winemakers, the family continues the legacy established by their father, Giampietro.
The Cellario family is committed to preserving local winemaking traditions, working exclusively with indigenous Piemontese grape varieties across their 20-hectare estate—14 hectares of which are vineyards, while the remainder supports biodiversity through forests, hazelnuts, wheat, and wildflower meadows. Among their notable offerings is their acclaimed Dolcetto from the esteemed Dogliani plot.
The family prioritises organic viticulture, with certification currently in progress, and employs minimal intervention in the winemaking process. This dedication is evident in their unfiltered, low-sulphur wines, which contain approximately 10 ppm of sulphur.
