Potager

Potager takes its name from the traditional French potager — a kitchen garden cultivated with purpose, seasonality and an intimate understanding of place. It is a fitting reference for a wine project shaped by the same principles: thoughtful selection, responsiveness to vintage, and a close relationship between grower, vineyard and table.

Guided by Dom’s holistic approach to winegrowing and winemaking, Potager draws fruit from carefully selected parcels across North Canterbury. Rather than imposing a fixed style, each cuvée is assembled with sensitivity to site and season, preserving the individuality of the vineyards while building a coherent regional expression.

The wines are defined by aromatic clarity, freshness, texture and balance, with an emphasis on purity and drinkability. Dom’s philosophy is rooted in observation rather than intervention, allowing vineyard character and vintage variation to remain present in the finished wines.

Much like a well-tended potager, the collection is diverse yet connected — each element contributing something distinct, but all belonging to the same landscape. The result is a range that speaks clearly of North Canterbury: refined, expressive and grounded in place.
